THE GIRL

LA NIÑA
 Many years ago, in a village of rich
people lived a man and a woman
with young daughter in a large
house in the center of the place;
they were recognized for their
humility despite their economy.
The father worked until very late in
the central bank, the woman was a
housewife and her maid
accompanied her daughter to the
school every day, however they
spent time with her little girl and
were happy together.

 Hace muchos años, en un de gente adinerada vivía un hombre y una

mujer con su hija pequeña en una gran casa en el centro del lugar; ellos
eran reconocidos por su humildad a pesar de su economía. El padre
trabajaba hasta muy tarde en el banco central, la mujer era ama de casa y
su criada diariamente acompañaba a su hija al colegio, aun así pasaban
tiempo con su pequeña y eran felices juntos.
  Each day her daughter returned
alone but, that day didn’t return
the usual time, for her parents
affected to be scared; they
asked everyone but nobody had
seen her, so at midnight she had
been dismembered and put in a
bag. Although they found the
body, they didn’t find the killer.

 Cada día su hija regresaba sola del colegio pero, un día no regresó a la
hora habitual , por lo que sus padres comenzaron a asustarse;
preguntaron a todo el mundo pero nadie la había visto, entonces a la
media noche la encontraron muerta en un baldío muy cerca de la casa,
ella había sido descuartizada y metida en una bolsa. A pesar de que
hallaron a la victima, no encontraron al culpable.
 En la semanas siguientes
los padres seguían
desbastados, tanto que
poco a poco su matrimonio
se iba arruinando. El
hombre decidió viajar a
otra ciudad par estar solo e
intentar superar la pérdida
y seguir adelante. Por otro
lado, la señora cayó en
depresión, decidieron
medicarla, desde la
primera dosis comenzó a
escuchar ruidos en su casa.
 In the following weeks the
parents were very sore, so
much so that little by little
their marriage was ruining.
The man decided to travel
to another city to be alone
and try to overcome the
loss and move forward. On
the other hand, the lady
fell into a depression, this

decided to medicate her,
from the first dose began
to she hear noises in her
house.
  Time after the noises became
more intense, as crying , moans,
footsteps and screams, he even
felt that they the guarded her,
also that the doors get whipped
the , she was becoming more
crazy to the point of not being
able to sleep. She claimed that it
was his daughter, but the maid,
frightened, told him that was
impossible because the presence
is felt to be malignant, however
the lady thought were warnings
of its small.

 Tiempo después los ruidos se volvieron más intensos, como llantos,

lamentos, pasos y gritos, incluso sentía que la vigilaban, también que las
puertas se azotaban, eso la volvía cada vez más loca al punto de no poder
dormir. Ella aseguraba que era su hija, pero la criada asustada, le dijo que
era imposible ya que la presencia se sentía maligna, en cambio la señora
creía que eran advertencias de su pequeña.
 One night she got to sleep, in his
dream, his daughter told him:”when
he came home, in the wasteland a
shadow call my attention, and said
my name, the voice was becoming
more distant, to the point that I

making me a joke...”

scared, in all the day she didn't stop
thinking in her dream. The coming of
the night the lady she try to sleep
with the hope that his daughter tell
him who or what had killed him
 Una noche ella consiguió
dormir, en su sueño, su
hija le contó:”cuando
llegaba a casa, en el baldío
una sombra llamó mi
atención, y dijo mi
nombre, la voz se iba
haciendo más lejana, al
punto que yo la seguí,
pensando que era una
amiga haciéndome una
broma…”
 En ese momento la mujer
se levantó asustada, en
todo el día no paró de
pensar en ello. Llegando la
noche la señora intentó
dormir con la esperanza
de que su hija le dijera
quién o qué la había
matado.

 “Al internarme en el baldío me di cuenta que estaba equivocada, cuando

quise volver era demasiado tarde, el pastizal me tapaba el camino de
vuelta, vi una sombra acercarse y en ese momento no supe que hacer,
comenzaba a oscurecer y no veía el camino de regreso. Después de eso
con mi vista nublada empecé a ver manchas de sangre, incluso así pude
distinguir que eran mías”.
 Al día siguiente la mujer
cansada, se puso a pensar en
quién o qué podía ser la sombra
que mató a su hija, decidió salir a
averiguar pistas. En cuanto salió
y se acercaba al baldío se
empezó a sentir rara, sintió
como que algo dentro del lugar
la llamaba, como un susurro, ella
quiso ignorarlo pero cada vez se
volvía más fuerte.
 Salió a correr hasta su casa,
donde encontró un sobre con su
nombre escrito, este contenía un
collar que ella le había regalado
a su hija y una carta que decía:
“hoy fuiste a buscarme, y
cuando te llamé no viniste, ¿Qué
te parece si hablamos ahora?”
 The next day the tired woman,

necklace she had given him to
his daughter and a letter that
said: “today you went to find

if we talked now? ”
  The mother looked around the

pero no encontraba nada,
cuando llegó al cuarto de su
hija los ruidos comenzaron a
aparecer, los cortinas se
movían al igual que las
puertas, se escuchaban risas
tenebrosas- como si las
carcajadas de su hija se
distorsionaran- en los pasillos
parecían que alguien o algo
corría a toda velocidad. Ella se
metió a su cuarto en busca de
sus pastillas para calmar las
cosas pero nada, nada
lograba hacer que
desaparezcan los recuerdos,
risas, pasos o movimientos de
sus pequeñas, ella ya estaba a
punto de tener una crisis
nerviosa cuando escuchó
unos suaves golpes en la
puerta. Corrió hasta la puerta
y estando en frente de esta
no supo qué hacer.

have a nervous breakdown when
she heard soft knocks at the door.
She ran to the door and being in
front of it didn’t know what to do.
  His eyes were filled with tears
and the despair in his body

blows that didn't cease with
force which they were
forming against the door, she
felt hits in the heart . She
asked who it was that was on
the other side, and suddenly
there was a deep silence, so
that opened the door...

 Sus ojos llenos de lagrimas y con desesperación en su cuerpo, fueron

interrumpidos por los golpes que no cesaban de la fuerza con la que
se plasmaban contra la puerta, ella lo sentía como garrotazos en el
corazón. Ella pregunto quién era el que estaba al otro lado, y de
repente hubo un profundo silencio, por lo que abrió la puerta…
