1.Addison’s Disease
Also known as primary adrenal insufficiency
Adrenal gland, do not produce enough steroid hormone

SYMPTONS
-Fatigue
-Muscle weakness
-Fever
-Weight loss
-Headache
 TREATMENT
-Usually involves taking prescription hormones(hydrocortisone, prednisone,
cortisone acetate)
- If your body is not making enough of the hormone aldosterone, the doctor
may prescribe fludrocortisone.
May also include medicine called (dehydroepiandrosterone) improves mood
and sex drive.
 2.CUSHING DISEASE
- Condition in which pituitary gland releases too much adrenocorticotropic
hormone(ACTH)

SYMPTONS
- Upper body obesity
- Round, red, full face( full face)
- Slow growth rate in children
TREATMENT
-involves surgery to remove the pituitary tumor
-radiation treatment of pituitary gland may also be cured if the tumor is not
completely removed.
