• Activities involving fairly high level of risk.

• Activities involving different sections or departments.
• Activities in highly hazardous areas / equipment
• Hot work of a prolonged duration.
• Activities where a deviation has to be resorted from
the standard procedures.

Preparation of the Job Safety Plan:

- To be prepared jointly by competent officers of all the
concerned depts.

- To be prepared after visiting and assessing the site

realities jointly by all concerned.

- Shall consider all hazards and risks

- Shall contain corrective / preventive measures to reduce

the risks to acceptable levels.

Job Safety Analysis – Don’ts :

- Preparation without joint site visit
- Preparation without total assessment of site conditions
- Preparation without active involvement of all the
concerned sections / depts.
- Blind reproduction of earlier job safety plans
- Preparation without detailed analysis of the risks and
application of mind
- Preparation without reducing the level of risks to
acceptable levels
 WORK PROCEDURE

Detailed Work Procedure:

- Required for all critical activities where the risk
involved is very high
eg. - work on flare system
- work in inert atmosphere
- Detailed analysis of risk
- Activities to be listed out sequentially
- Active involvement of all concerned sections/ depts.
- Activities shall be carried out as per the specified
sequence
