WOMEN’S RIGHTS

GROUP INTRODUCTION –
The name of our topic is women’s rights. We are five members
Arash, Daren, Jayden, Theopas and Zachegay.
1. Arash likes to play football and he likes to do photography.
He wants to become a doctor. He likes to spend time with his
cousins
2. Daren likes to play football as well as cricket. In the future
Daren wishes to join the navy.
3.Jayden likes to play football. In his free time he likes to
sketch. He even likes to swim. In the future he would like to
become an aeronautical engineer.
4.Theopas likes to play football. He likes to spend time with
his friends. He wishes to join the army in his future.
5.Zachery is the group leader. He likes to play basketball and
play the guitar as well. He would like to become an engineer
in his future.
WHAT ARE HUMAN RIGHTS ?
>RIGHTS ARE LEGAL AND SOCIAL PRINCIPALS OF FREEDOM
AND ENTITLEMENT, THAT IS, RIGHTS ARE FUNDAMENTAL
NORMATIVE RULES ABOUT WHAT IS ALLOWED OF PEOPLE
OR OWED TO PEOPLE, ACCORDING TO SOME LEGAL
SYSTEM AND SOCIAL CONVECTION. RIGHTS ARE OF
ESSENTIAL IMPORTANCE IN SUCH DICIPLINES AS LAW AND
ETHICS, ESPECIALLY THEORIES OF JUSTICE. RIGHTS ARE
OFTEN CONSIDERED FUNDAMENTAL TO CIVILIZATION FOR
THEY ARE REGARDED AS ESTABLISHED PILLARS OF SOCIETY
AND CULTURE. THE HISTORY OF SOCIAL CONFLICTS CAN
BE FOUND IN HISTORY OF EACH RIGHT AND ITS
DEVELOPMENT.
WHAT ARE WOMEN’S RIGHTS ?
>IN 1444THE WOMEN’S RIGHTS STARTED IN INDIA. THE
WOMEN’S RIGHTS WAS UNDER THE CONSTITUTION OF
INDIA AS EQUALITY, DIGNITY AND FREEDOM FROM
DISCRIMINATION, ADDITIONALLY, INDIA HAS VARIOUS
WOMEN’S RIGHTS ARE THE RIGHTS
ENTITLEMENTSCLAIMED FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS IN
WORLDWIDE, AND WHICH FORMED THE BASIS FOR THE
WOMEN’S RIGHTS IN THESE CASES. WOMEN’S RIGHTS
ARE VERY IMPORTANT AND HELP WOMEN TO GET
FREEDOM IN LIFE .
SOME OF THE WOMEN’S RIGHTS ARE:
1 WOMEN HAVE THE RIGHT TO EQUAL PAY.
2 WOMEN HAVE THE RIGHT TO DIGNITY AND
DECENCY.
3 WOMEN HAVE THE RIGHT AGAINST
WORKPLACE HARASSMENT.
4 WOMEN HAVE THE RIGHT AGAINST RACISIM
AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
5 FEMALE SEXUAL ASSAULT VICTIMS HAVE THE
RIGHT TO KEEP THEIR IDENTITY ANONYMOUS.
Who started women’s rights
> ELIZABETH CADY STANTON started the
rights for women . She started women’s
rights because she realized that women
were getting exploited and not getting
freedom like men. She even realized
that if men were getting freedom then
why not let women get the same
amount of freedom.
WHY WAS WOMEN’S RIGHTS STARTED ?

WOMEN’S RIGHTS WAS STARTED SO THAT WOMEN CAN HAVE

THE RIGHT TO VOTE, TO WORK, FAIR WAGES OR EQUAL
WAGES, RIGHT TO EDUCATION, PROPERTY, AND EQUAL
RIGHTS IN FAMILY LAW.

THIS WILL BE SHOWN IN OUR NEXT SLIDE.

WHY ARE WOMEN’S RIGHTS IMPORTANT ?

> WOMEN’S RIGHTS are important because the United

Nations feels it is a fundamental human right . It
is the vision that men and women should be
treated equally in social, economic and all other
aspects of society, and to not be discriminated
against on the basis of their gender.
Gender equality is one of the objectives of the
United Nations Universal Declaration of Human
Rights.
WHY DO WOMEN NEED THE RIGHT TO
EDUCATION?
> Women need the right to education because an
educated woman can have the skills, information
and self confidence that she needs to be a better
parent, worker and citizen.

In other words, she will have a chance to a happier

and healthier life.
WHICH RIGHTS ARE WOMEN FIGHTING
FOR ?
1 Gender wage gap.
2 Women being harassed in office.
3 Women have to fight really hard for
the right to vote, meaning the right to
vote. And women have to still fight for
many more rights.
WHAT CAN WE DO FOR WOMEN RIGHTS?
> WE CAN BEGIN BY RESPECTING OUR MOTHERS AND
SISTERS AT HOME BECAUSE THEY ARE ALSO WOMEN.

WE CAN ALSO RESPECT THE GIRLS OR WOMEN IN OUR

SCHOOL.

THESE SMALL MEASURES IF STARTED AT SCHOOL LEVEL

WILL HELP US RESPECT WOMEN LATER THUS ENABLING
THEM TO FUNCTION INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT
CURTAILING THEIR RIGHTS.
AND BY THIS ACT WE CAN MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER
PLACE.
 CONCLUSION

It was fun working on this project. We have

drawn to the conclusion that Women should be
treated equally without gender bias, they need
to be educated to create happy, healthy families
who can then be an asset to Society.
We were enlightened on many aspects of this
topic.
