 What is Equality ?

Equality means
"The state of being
equal."
 What is Social Inequality
Social inequality is the presence of unequal
opportunities for different social positions.
It includes inequalities in income,
education, gender and class.
Marginalised communities like the Dalits,
Adivasis, etc. are not able to get better jobs
due to lack of education and values.
SOCIAL INEQUALITY DONE IN MY AREA
•Women are paid less than men for the
same jobs. Women are treated with less
respect.
•Men and women are not allowed to marry
outside their caste. Preference for lighter
skin is evident.
 What is Gender Equality ?

Gender Equality means not

to discriminate between the
various Genders of society
 GENDER INEQUALITY DONE IN MY AREA
 Women are not allowed to do work; some do
household work in houses for which they are
paid . Women are treated with no respect.
 Men are not allowed to marry the person of their
own choice and are differentiated between on the
basis of their color.
 What is Natural Equality ?
Natural equality means natural differences
among human beings.
These discriminations are practiced in the
name of caste, colour, creed, religion, sex,
place of birth, etc
