 WHAT IS PRINT MEDIA?

Print Media consisting of paper and ink, reproduced in a

printing process that is traditionally mechanical.

Print media is one of the oldest and basic forms of

communication. It includes newspapers, weeklies,
magazines, monthlies, banners & graphics, posters and
other forms of printed material.

Print media has the advantage of making a longer impact

on the minds of the reader, with more in-depth reporting
and analysis.

BOOKS

Books are the oldest form of

print media that are used as
a way of communication and
information piece.

Comics is a visual medium used

to express ideas via images,
often combined with text or
visual information.

FLYERS

A Flyer is usually a single, unfolded printed sheet that

is used to draw attention to an event, service,
product or idea. A flyer usually contains a very simple
message that can be conveyed quickly. A flyer is
generally printed on the 8.5” x 11” paper size to
keep its cost low, though flyers can be created in any
size that is easy to handle. Also, the printing is most
commonly on one side of the paper, though there is
no law that says flyers can’t be printed on both sides.

BROCHURES

A brochure, also known as

pamphlet, is a kind of
booklet that contains the
details of the company, or
organization.

Banners at many places are

made of cloth, or paper and
are used to show slogans,
logos, or some messages.
