The Energy Situation in Pakistan
• Pakistan is facing a severe energy crisis; limited economic
development
• Relies heavily on energy resources like gas, oil, hydropower, nuclear,
coal and LPG
• Currently exploring the development of renewable technologies
• Biomass is considered the best and most easily accessible source of
energy
• Agriculture is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy e.g. rice, cotton,
