 Introduction

 Introduction
The University Activity Center is a new, vibrant, ever-
busy open enclave where scholars can freely conduct their
scholarly or extra-curricular activities.

Functions
» It is the fulcrum of student activities where college and
even university-wide events are held.
» On regular days, scholars conduct their rehearsals for
plays, dance and cheering competitions, song numbers
and a wide array of presentation activities.
» Some students conduct their P.E. class subjects in the
building.
» Students also tend to make the area a study place
when Gazebos are full and no longer available.
» Nowadays, because the canteen lacks seats and tables,
UAC now becomes a place for students to have their
meals during break time.

 Design Problems
The University Activity Center may be serving its
purpose in different ways, it still has its problems with
regards to its design.

Major Problems
» Sunrays passing through the structure makes it
uncomfortable for the students especially during 1:00
pm up to 5:00 pm.
» UAC lacks buffers in it’s surrounding making it more
vulnerable to natural elements such as wind gust and
rain water.

Minor Reconsiderations
» UAC’s design is plain and bland. Improvements in the
main design could be considered since it’s the first that
would welcome students in the campus. Ut congue
