 This zone lies in western and central part of India, jaisalmer,


jodhpur, etc.
 HOT AND DRY CLIMATE
has a very high radiation levels & temperatures………..desirable to
keep the heat out of the building
 usually flat, sandy, rocky ground
 Water level is very low here.
 Due to low humidity the climate is dry Cold Climate

Darker shades should be avoided for surfaces
exposed to direct solar radiation.
The surface of the roof can be of white broken glazed
tiles (china mosaic flooring).
The surface of the wall should preferably be textured.
