• Patient identification (from the specimen label) is
a must.
• Good fixation for best paraffin embedded block.
• Gross diagnostic carefully for best sampling.
• Take complete notes to support the
histopathological diagnosis.
• Always communicate with the clinician about the
diagnosis.
• Re-sampling is needed when the
histopathological features do not match with the
clinical diagnosis (especially for suspicious
malignancy).
