Public Transport & Ola
Background

Ola’s vision is to become one stop solution for entire mobility needs for all users. In doing so it is also committed to solve
for overall connectivity problems. With the advent of metro rail infrastructure expansion and strong bus network already
existing in cities like NCR, Mumbai and Bangalore, millions of trips are being completed daily using public transport. There
is a huge opportunity to tap this customer base given we already have gamut of offerings with different price points for
each customer.

Problem statement

As a product manager, you need to come up with a product solution so as to target this customer segment and bring them
on Ola platform. Any details around financial projections or pricing strategies are not required.

Questions :
● Customer Segments: Clearly identify the customer segments for your product and how would you approach to
understand the requirements for identified segment(s)
● Competition Benchmarking: Highlight competitors/potential competitors and benchmark against your product
using business/industry specific metrics
● Feature Planning: Detail out how you would go about planning for this integration. You can touch upon the major
features you would like to include and what pain points will it solve
● Customer Booking Flow: Focus on the end-to-end customer booking flow (and post-booking flow). You are free to
add supporting flow diagrams to explain the same
● Key Performance Metrics: Highlight some key performance metrics you would use to gauge the success of your
product
