Achieved goals 2019!

 PK Telco redesign/consolidation.

 Philippines network redesign.

 Wireless network redesign/enhancement.

 All listed project documentation completion.

z
NEW YEAR! NEW TARGETS more fun &
more learning 
 Network Authentication server migration to Cisco ISE

 Enterprise Remote access VPN migration to Cisco ISE

 Enterprise wide Paloalto PANOS upgrade.

 Critical Cisco Headend device IOS upgrade.

 VDS/NDS/SDS architecture redesign.

 Direct peering with AWS/Azure/Sales force cloud.

 IBEX Jamaica region redesign.

Goal 1 – Network Auth server migration to Cisco ISE
z

Objective 1.1 – Network Authentication server migration to Cisco ISE

1.1.1 – Network devices

authentication Strategy Network devices authentication server is EOL/EOS.
upgradation

Network authentication server is EOL/EOS we have deployed new ISE trial version as test bed for initial setup
and proof of concept, We will need to buy ISE licensing and require $20K funding for procurement. Our target
for complete migration is Q1 2020.

We plan to start working on the project in January 2020.

Objective 1.2 – Enterprise Remote access VPN migration to Cisco ISE

1.2.1 – Remote access

vpn profiling Strategy Enterprise wide remote access vpn profiling using ISE

For upgrading Enterprise wide remote users / client access and to control remote access provisioning we need
to utilize Cisco ISE granular policy framework, where user access would be integrated with AD security group
and Downloadable ACLs when users will connect.

We plan to start working on the project in Feb 2020 and target to complete it by Q2 2020-21.
Goalz 2 – VDS/NDS/SDS architecture redesign

Objective 2.1 – Dallas | Hampton Network Distribution layer redesign

2.1.1 – Distribution layer
redesign Strategy Dallas & Hampton DC network distribution layer optimization

As per recent issues faced in IOS upgradation/power cycle for network redistribution layer we have to redesign the
Data center architecture as per our business needs so that afterwards equipment management issues can be handled
in more efficient way.
We plan to start working on the project in June 2020.

Objective 2.2 – Critical Cisco headend IOS upgrade

2.2.1 – Cisco headend IOS
upgrade planning Strategy Cisco headend IOS upgrade Planning

After redesigning IBEX Philippines and PK, we have multiple critical Cisco/Datacenter headend which are taking care
of production traffic and their IOS/hardware resources need to be monitored/upgraded in timely manner as any
miniature issue can result in significant impact to revenue and end user experience resulting in poor SLA.

This needs to be taken care throughout the year 2020

Goal 3 – Direct peering with AWS/Azure/Sales force
z
and Jamaica Network redesign
Objective 3.1 – Cloud peering
3.1.1 – Provisioning Cloud
peering in Data Center Strategy Setting up Cloud peering in Data Center for better user experience

We need to setup AWS/Azure/Salesforce cloud peering in Datacenter and provision all respective cloud prefixes
access through Datacenter peering. This needs to be done on dedicated/redundant hardware with best
uptime/response performance.

We plan to start working on the project in March 2020.

Objective 3.2 – IBEX Jamaica region redesign

3.2.1 – Network
optimization for better Strategy Portmore site core upgradation and Jamaica network standardization
SLA

For gearing up network processing with site capacity increase we need to upgrade Portmore Core switches with high-
end network switches to accommodate high arp count and better switching. Also complete Jamaica region network
needs redesigning at DMPLS/Internet/International circuits

We target to complete it by Q4 2020
