ECO LAB
Construction Material Testing Laboratory
Quality Assurance & Quality Inspection
Construction Material Testing
The laboratory is committed to provide excellent and prompt services for
testing by implementing the management system as per material code and
thereby ensuring total customer satisfaction through effective, efficient,
reliable, accurate and conforming to national and international standards. The
management is committed to continually improve the effectiveness of the
management system through review and training to all employees and by
adopting good laboratory practices to make the laboratory known for its
quality of services and customer focus.
Consistency and quality – these are the two pillars of the infrastructure and
construction industry. Material testing becomes a means of ensuring both.
Laboratory testing of materials through a trusted and experienced source can go a
long way in creating structures that are safe and stable.
Material testing involves the analysis of various construction materials to
determine their quality by checking their response to various factors that these
materials are likely to encounter during their life span. The process also includes
establishing the optimum ratio and blend of materials required to build the
sturdiest structure.
Different types of materials are used for construction purpose. These
materials need to be tested for quality and to get specifications. This
quality of materials ensures stability of structure and specifications are
used to get required amount of material.
ECO LAB has made its reputation in material testing through the course of
time by delivering reliable and accurate test parameters. In ECO LAB all the
tests are performed by a highly qualified and experienced team according to
relevant Indian Standards.

CONCRATE TESTING
Concrete Test – We do concrete testing
because these quality tests on concrete give the
properties of concrete strength, durability, air
content, permeability and compressive strength
indicates the quality of materials. Testing is help
for quantity of cement maintaining workability
and strength of the concrete. We provide
accurate test result about concrete. All test
should be tested under IS Reference code.
Concrete test should be conduct:-
Compressive Strength of Cube
Compressive Strength of Core, Masonry
block
Concrete Mix Design
Workability Strength for 7, 28 days(3 cubes
each)
Water Absorption of masonry block
Self Compacting Concrete.
Non Destructive Testing by Rebound
Hammer & Ultrasonic Pulse velocity.
CEMENT TESTING
Cement testing – Cement is a very
important material in the construction
industry. The major portion of a structure’s
strength mostly depends on the quality of
cement. If we do cement tests so we find out
size of cement grain, consistency give us
water percentage of cement paste. They give
us stiffen, workable, crack, compressive and
tensile strength, specific gravity.
Cement Test should be conduct:-
Standard consistency
Fineness by Blain Air Permeability
Soundness by le- Chatelier’s Apparatus
Initial & Final setting time
Specific gravity of cement
Compressive strength(3 cubes each) 3, 7 &
28 day
FINE AND COARSE AGGREGATE
Aggregate – In this test find smaller and larger size
filler material in construction. Fine and coarse
aggregate test is find out specific gravity, water
absorption, moisture content.
Sieve analysis and fineness modulus give us
proportioning of ingredients of concrete mix. Classify
the type of aggregate & to check the porosity of the
aggregates, weight of volume, durability, soundness.
Fine Aggregate Test should be conduct:-
• Sieve Analysis & fineness modulus
• Silt Content
• Material Finer Than 75 Micron
• Bulk Density
• Water Absorption
• Specific Gravity
• Moisture Content
• Soundness Test
FINE AND COARSE AGGREGATE
Corse Aggregate – In this test find out larger size filler
material in construction. coarse aggregate test is find
out specific gravity, water absorption, moisture content.
Sieve analysis and fineness modulus give us
proportioning of ingredients of concrete mix. Classify
the type of aggregate & to check the porosity of the
aggregates, weight of volume, durability, soundness.
Crushing value determine resistance of aggregates to
gradual load, sudden impact or shocks, crushing.
Coarse Aggregate Test should be conduct:-
• Sieve Analysis
• Specific gravity
• Flakiness Index
• Elongation Index
• Water Absorption
• Bulk Density
• Moisture Content
• Crushing Value
• 10% Fines Value
• Impact Value
• Deleterious Material
STEEL TESTING
STEEL – Steel testing is give us tensile Strength
& Percentage Elongation of mechanical
properties indicate the quality of steel. To
check the strength of the joining.
STRUCTURAL STEEL – In this test to check all
physical properties of Angle, channel, I-beams,
Flats, Box sections, Plates. Chemical analysis of
steel reinforcement & structural steel.
Steel Test should be conduct:-
• Tensile strength
• Percentage elongation
• Weight per meter
• 90 degree or 180 degree bend test
• 135 degree or 157.5 degree Rebend test
• Chemical tests for steel
BRICK TESTING(Brunt Clay & Fly ash)
Brick –Brick is tested because to check Absorption
result in cracks in plaster and seepages. To check
dimensional quality of the brick. Density an indicate
quality of concrete.
Brick Test should be conduct:-
• Water Absorption
• Compressive Strength Testing
• Efflorescence Test
• Dimension analysis
• Density Test
