TOURISM ATTRACTIONS
WHITE DESERT : GREAT RANN OF KUTCH
 Lies between Gujarat in India and Sindh province in Pakistan.
 It comprises of around 30,000 sq. km of land.
 Rann of Kutch is famous for its white salty desert sand and is
reputed to be the largest salt desert in the world.
 Rann means “Desert” in Hindi.
 Climate : Summer - 50 degree Celsius
Winter - 0 degree Celsius
 “Rann Utsav”
LAKXMI VILAS PALACE : VADODARA
 Built in 1890, the private residence of Maharaja
sayajirao Gaekwad III.
 Spawling over an area of 700 acres.
 The head architect took twelve years to build
this grand building.

SABARMATI ASHRAM : AHMEDABAD

 “Satyagrah Ashram”
 Sabarmati is a Mahatma Gandhi’s second ashram.
 There is an open air museum, that presents an
informative and moving record of Gandhi's life and
teaching.
GIR NATIONAL PARK, JUNAGADH

 It was established in 1965, with a area of 1412sq km.


 “Sasan Gir”
 Gir forest is a home to more than 300 avian species.
 The national park is notable for its silk cotton trees.
 Best time to go for jeep safari at Gir National park is
between March and May.
DWARKADHISH TEMPLE:

 The temple was enlarged in the 15th-16th century.


 It is a Hindu temple dedicated to god Krishna.
 The main shrine of the five storied building, supported by
72 pillars.
 You can also visit the nearby temples like Jagat Mandir,
Bet Dwarka, Okha and shrines dedicated to Rukmini.
MARINE NATIOANL PARK
 Situated in southern shore of the Gulf of kutch.
 In 1982, a core area of 110 km.
 It is only place in india where one can see the coral reefs of
different shapes and sizes without dividing in the water.
 To reach the park, you will have to hire a boat from the bedi
port or sikka port.
 finest marine species –Starfishes, Sponges, Sea cucumbers,
puffer fishes etc.
