INTRODUCTION:

• Now a days, we have seen many wireless systems like cellular data, wifi,
Bluetooth, etc.
• Every year the world is consuming almost 60% of wireless data. As a
result of these radio transmissions the atmosphere becomes over
saturated and it causes harmful radiatons.
• To get rid of these harmful radiatons and save the man kind the “Li-Fi
Tech” is introduced and we came with the “Li-Fi Sound System”.
• Lifi is a light communication system which is capable of transferring data
at higher speeds with more band width between lights.
OBJECTIVES:

• Li-Fi is a derivative of Optical wireless communication system.

• Visible Light Communication(VLC) works by switching the
current to the LEDs off and on at a very high speed, too quick to
be noticed by the human eye, thus, it does not present any
flickering.
• Although Li-Fi LEDs would have to be kept on to transmit data,
they could be dimmed to below human visibility while still
emitting enough light to carry data.
WHAT IS LI-FI?
WHAT IS LI-FI?

• Li-Fi “Light Fideality” is transmission of data

through illumination i.e.,Sending information
through an LED bulb with variation in
intensity that a human eye cannot even
follow.
• Li-Fi is a light based wifi which uses light
instead of radiowaves.
WORKING OF LI-FI
• Working of Li-fi is very simple.
• We transmit a code 1 when LED is on and
code 0 when LED is off. LEDs can be turned on
and off easily.
• We need some LEDs and a controller to gives
data to the LEDs.
• We have to give the data to LEDs.
• Hence, all the LEDs transmit the data.
REQUIRED MATERIALS:
A mobile is a portable telephone that can
make and receive calls over a radio
frequency link while the user is moving
within a telephone service area.

Aux cable is a connecting cable consists

of two make pins which is used to
connect two devices and transfer
media through it between the devices.
Light Emitting Diode is a light source which has
more efficiency. It gives more light output with
less power.

Photovoltaic solar panels absorb sunlight as a

source of energy to generate direct
current electricity. A photovoltaic (PV) module
is a packaged, connected assembly of
photovoltaic solar cells available in different
voltages and wattages.
Speaker is a sound emitting
device which converts the
input into vibrations and
produce sound.

A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrica component that

implements electrical resistance as a circuit element. In electronic
circuits, resistors are used to reduce current flow, adjust signal
levels, to divide voltages, bias active elements, and
terminate transmission lines, among other uses.

A battery converts chemical energy into electrical energy by a

chemical reaction. Usually the chemicals are kept inside
the battery. ... A battery produces direct current (DC) electricity
(electricity that flows in one direction, and does not switch back
and forth).
VISIBLE LIGHT COMMUNICATION

• Many types of communication systems are used

now which includes radars and radio.
• The Visible light communication is introduced to
replace them.

APPLICATIONS:

• Used in modern medical instruments.

• In aircrafts, it can be used for data transmission.
• Used in petroleum or chemical industries for transmission of data
where other wireless communication systems woulb be hazardous.
• In traffic signals, Li-Fi can be used which will communicate with LED
lights of the cars and number of accidents can be decreased.
• Location based services: GPS.
• RF spectrum relief.
ADVANTAGES:
• Larger Bandwidth.
• High efficiency.
• More bandwidth.
• High security.
• All the street lamps can be converted into Li-Fi spots.
• No license needed.
• Green information technology.
• Lighting points used as hotspots.
• The issues of the radio frequency bandwidth may be sorted out by Li-Fi.
• This technology worldwide can be used for every street lamp would be a free
data access points.
LIMITATIONS:

• Li-Fi doesn’t work in the dark.

• We cannot shift the Li-Fi system between some rooms.
• Light can’t pass through objects.
• Interference of external lights can cause interruption in
the communication.
• High installation cost of the VLC system.
FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS:

• Efficient alternative to radio-based wireless.

• Li-Fi is an emerging technology which is quick and reliable.

• Air waves are dogged so let’s use light waves.

• Hence, let’s proceed to Li-Fi for a brighter, cheaper and greener

future.
CONCLUSION:
• Overcomes the limitations of radio spectrum.

• High speed of 10 Gbps can be achieved.

• The possibilities are numerous and can be explored further.

• Every bulb can be used something like a hotspot if Li-Fi is put into practise.

• Li-Fi cleaner, greener, safer and brighter for the future.

• This may solve the issues such as shortage of rf bandwidth.

• Allows interneteven aircrafts and hospitals where radio frequency is not allowed.

• Li-Fi is enabled by advance digital transmission technologies.
