Physical examination: Evaluation:
- Thyroglossal duct cysts typically - USG thyroid
present as mobile midline neck - CT Scan / MRI
masses near the hyoid bone or an
abcess or intermittently draining
sinus.
- The mass will elevate with tongue
protrusion or swallowing. Treatment / Management:
- The mass is closely associated with - Simple excision
the hyoid bone. - Sistrunk operation
- Most commonly found at or below
the level of hyoid.
