What is Bookmark ?
• Bookmark is a saved link to a Web page that
has been added to a list of saved links.

• When you are looking at a particular Web


site or home page and want to be able to
quickly get back to it later, you can create a
bookmark for it.

• The list that contains your bookmarks is the


"bookmark list" and sometimes it's called a
"hotlist."
Functions of Bookmark in web pages.
• To saved link to a Web page that has been added to
a list of saved links.
• It records a shortcut that directs your browser to
some specific webpages
• It stores the title, URL and favicon of corresponding
page.
• It allows easy access to your favourite locations on
webpages.
• It creates quick access and remark for the previous
visit web sites.
Adding a Bookmark
Displaying the bookmark list
Google Chrome
The following methods may be used to create a bookmark in the
Google Chrome browser:

1.Navigate to the page you'd like to bookmark.


2.Press Ctrl+D.
3.Name the bookmark and select the folder in which you want it saved.
4. Select or create folder for the bookmark
5.Click Save or Done.

Deleting an item from the bookmark list
Searching the bookmark list
1) Open "Show All Bookmarks" library.
2) Search for any item you know it's in there, but you do not
know where it is located among the bookmarks.
3) Click on any item in the resulting list.
4) You will see many info about the item (bookmark) you
clicked on.
