A HAZARD IS AN AGENT WHICH


HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE
HARM TO A VULNERABLE TARGET.
HAZARDS CAN BE DORMANT OR
POTENTIAL, WITH ONLY A
THEORETICAL PROBABILITY OF
HARM.
 When can we say that
this is a hazard?
 If there is a certain
person that will fall into
this slippery floor.
 Solution:
 Put a sign “FLOOR IS
SLIPPERY WHEN
WET” and they should
make an adjustments to
the air conditioner.
 We can say that this
picture is a hazard
because something bad
might happen in the
future.
 REPLACE THE
BROKEN WINDOW
AND CALL AN EXPERT
TO REPLACE THE
WINDOW TO AVOID
FUTURE ACCIDENTS.
