Components of Physical Fitness


PE 2 will be focusing on the fitness development. From PE 1, it
will be upgraded into higher level, focusing not only on a specific
components of fitness, but rather 2 or more components combined
in a particular exercises.
Components of fitness is Divided into 2

1. Balance
- an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something
to remain upright and steady.

2. Body Composition
- In physical fitness, body composition is used to describe the
percentages of fat, bone, water and muscle in human bodies.

3. Cardiovascular Endurance
- is how efficiently your heart, blood vessels, and lungs to supply
oxygen rich blood to working muscles during physical activity (aerobic activity
like walking, running, cycling or playing a sport) for a prolonged period of time.
4. Muscular Strength
- refers to the amount of force a muscle can produce with a single
maximal effort. The size of your muscle fibre's and the ability of nerves to
activate muscle fibre's are related to muscle strength.

5. Flexibility
- or limberness refers to the range of movement in a joint or series
of joints, and length in muscles that cross the joints to induce a bending
movement or motion. Flexibility varies between individuals, particularly in
terms of differences in muscle length of multi-joint muscles.

1. Agility
- ability to move quickly and easily.
2. Coordination
- the ability to use different parts of the body together smoothly
and efficiently.

3. Muscular Endurance
- is the ability of a muscle or group of muscles to sustain repeated
contractions against a resistance for an extended period of time. It is one of the
components of muscular fitness, along with muscular strength and power.
4. Power
- the ability to exert a maximal force in as short a time as possible,
as in accelerating, jumping and throwing implements.

5. Speed
- is the ability to move quickly across the ground or move limbs
rapidly to grab or throw.
6. Reaction Time
- is the ability to respond quickly to a stimulus. It important in
many sports and day to day activities, though it is not often measured
