Grammap
Title
• Grammap (Grammar application)
• Using an application that provides exposure to irregular plural nouns
together with assessment for Year 3 pupils

Objectives
• To create a learning platform that provides the grammar
information as well as the assessment.
• To create fun learning.
• To promote the use of the 21st century skills which are 6C’s.
• To provide an easy method and access for pupils to learn about
irregular plural nouns.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
• The regular or traditional method of teaching and learning is causing
pupils to lose interest in learning which in turn making them unable
to fully understand the knowledge taught in the classroom.
INNOVATION PROPOSED
Synopsis of innovation
• This innovation is made specifically for Year 3 pupils’ level. The content
of the Grammap (Grammar Application) is created based on English Year
3 syllabus but focusing on the problem of using irregular plural nouns
that frequently occur in the Year 3 classroom.

• Basically, it provides the exposure to regular and irregular plural nouns


to enable pupils to differentiate between these two. By using this
application, pupils will be able to recognise the use of regular and
irregular plural nouns through stories, games and exercises provided.
They will also be able to test their understanding through quizzes that
follow. This application will be able to be used in electronic devices such
as laptops, handphones and tablets. Teachers can also use this
application as a whole by displaying it on the classroom projector or use
it as an individual task.
Methodology
• This application is created based on the first three principles of Blooms
Taxonomy which are remember, understand and apply. First of all, pupils
will have to study the content of regular and irregular plural nouns through
videos, short stories or songs. After that, they will have to understand the
difference between regular and irregular nouns that they have learned.
Lastly, they can apply their understanding through the provided exercises
or games after learning about the regular and irregular plural nouns.
The text elements and graphics of the contents will be displayed based
on the principles of design, CASPER which are:-
