• Listen to the word(s) that emphasized by the
speaker
• Listen to the word(s) that repeated by the
speaker, sometimes with its/their synonym(s)
• With your background knowledge try to make
an association to understand the whole idea
• Don’t try to get all words but get the relevant
information
