 Nurse : Good afternoon. I am nurse Jono. I am one of the nurses taking care of
you here. Are you Mr. Cliff?
 Patient : Yes, I am. Nice to meet you.
 Nurse : Nice to meet you, too, Mr. Cliff.
 Patient : You look so great with your uniform.
 Nurse : Thank you. How are you feeling right now?
 Patient : Hmm.. Still a bit dizzy and mild fever.
 Nurse : Well, don’t worry. It just needs some more minutes to be better. If it is not,
please press the call button.
 Patient : I got it. Thanks.
 Nurse : Great. I am so sorry Mr.Cliff, I have to see another patient in another
room. I will see you later.
 Patient : See you, Nurse Jono.

Read and retell a story

Mrs. Canry had a stroke (cerebrovascular accident) about 18


months ago. Her familly looks after her at home. A nurse from a
home care helps her with a twice-a day visit. She has come into
the care home while her family has a short holiday. The stroke
has left Mrs.Canry with left-sided paralysis and poor balance.
She doesn't have dysphasia. But because the left-sided
paralysis, her face is also paralysed. She also has slurred speech
and dribbled saliva.

 Left-sided paralysis: lumpuh sebelah kiri
 dysphasia: kesulitan berbicara
 slurred speech: pengucapan yang tidak jelas
 dribbled saliva: cairan/ludah yang menetes
