LED for proper zone indication.
 Alarm bell will ring inside the protected
area (First Stage)

 Fire indication signal to building fire alarm system

SYSTEM OPERATION: 2ND STAGE

Activation of a Second Detector (Cross

Zoned) in the other circuit will cause.
 Predischarge indication on FMCP with
custom LED for proper zone indication.
 Horn/Strobe Alarm will activate (Second
Stage)
 Starts countdown of Set Time Delay
 Fire indication signal to building fire alarm system
 Signal to close Fire Damper/AC Unit.

Daily Maintenance (End-user)

• Check cylinder pressure

 Monthly Maintenance

• Performed by end-user (typically)

– Ensure access to hazard areas,
manual pull stations, abort switches
and cylinders are unobstructed
– Check cylinder
– Check for missing or damaged
equipment
• Check nozzles for dirt, damage or obstructions
• Check flex hoses for loose fitting or damage
• Check control heads for connection to cylinders

Semi-Annual Inspection
(To Be Performed by Trained Person)
• Inspect system for missing or damaged equipment
• Test system for proper operation
– Control Panel functions
– Detectors, aborts, pull stations, control heads and
notification appliances
– Pressure switches and auxiliary connections
– Check for proper sequence of operation and time
delays
- Test all detection and control devices as per NFPA 72
