Why Uniforms?
 1. Student Equality

 As we know, at school there are students who are economically

capable and some of the students are not capable in economy
 The capable students can use their fashionable and branded
casual clothes to school.But some student that is not
economically capable only use simple and affordable clothes.This
situation make the students look not equal one and another.
 By using school uniform, the students look equal one and
another.
 2. Ease of Getting Ready

 By wearing uniform, the students don’t need to waste their time

to choose or find which clothes that they want to use that day,
because by wearing uniform, they only have one option about
the clothes that they will use that day, that is the school uniform.
 3. Cost Cuts

 In Indonesia, the students must attend school for six days, from
Monday to Saturday
 During that time,they certaily use different clothes every day.
 By using different clothes every day,they have to buy many and
various casual clothes.
 But if they wear the school uniform,they only need to buy some
school uniform and use them alternately.
 4. School Appropriaty

 This days, some of student’s casual clothes especially teenager is

inappropriate for a student.For the example,their skirts or pants
are too short, the shirt are too tight , etc.
 The school uniform has designed to be appropriate clothes for
students. So it is better if the students use the school uniforms.

brand.
 3. Less Social Peer Pressure

 Because of using school uniform, the students look equal one and
another, that make the students that are not capable in economy
will not feel the social peer pressure
Where The Issue Stands Today
The Indonesian education and culture ministry has issued a regulation about
shool uniform or known as Permendikbud Nomor 45 Tahun 2014

The minister of Indonesian education and culture has devided the school
uniforms into 3 type of uniform such as national uniform, school uniform, and
scout uniform .

National uniforms worn on Mondays, Tuesdays, and on another day when the
flag ceremony. In addition to these days, students may wear scout uniform or
school uniforms that regulated by each school

”Bagi sekolah yang melanggar ketentuan dalam Permendikbud ini akan

dikenakan sanksi sesuai dengan peraturan perundangan-undangan yang
berlaku. Namun sebelumnya akan diklarifikasi terlebih dahulu kepada pihak
sekolah mengapa pelanggaran tersebut bisa terjadi,” - tegas Mendikbud
 Final Thoughts

Uniform may seem boring and not

fashionable, but if they are going to help
improve the learning enviroment for
students and teachers, they are really
reasonable choice.
