Cognitive Walkthrough

Summary
Unleashed
Show Stopper Issues
● 1.2 Assessment on volunteer financial commitment
1.2 Issue
● The original copy of 1.2 did not accurately reflect the system map analysis so
we redesigned it to be more interactive and reflect the the steps in the system
map for 1.2
1.2 Issue (Show stopper)
● The original copy of 1.2 did not accurately reflect the system map analysis in
the way that it did not include any form of assessment or explanation of what
we wanted the user to assess. So we created 1.2 to be more interactive and
focus on the initial and recurrent costs that are associated with volunteering.
We also added an assessment to the end of the module string.

Images and frames for Expectations slide
Once images were inserted, they were difficult to discern
There were no images for the expectations slide from one another, so the frames were thickened to
improve contrast
Minor Issues
● Checkmark for correct answer
● Color for correct answer was red instead of green
● Clickable elements in the first Visiting scenarios slide
● Submit button in 1.4 assessment
Checkmark Issue
● The green on green overlay made it hard for the user to see the checkmark
Color for correct answer was red instead of green
● We made the box for correct feedback red and the correct answer yellow.
because it matched the color scheme for ITA. We realized the user would
think they got the answers wrong when they really got the answers on their
quiz correct.
Clickable elements in the first Visiting Scenarios
slide
● Originally there was only
one clickable element in
this section.(the couple
fighting, the correct
selection)
● Two more clickable
elements have been added
as incorrect selections.
(The pregnant couple and
the physician)
● When the learner
answered the
questions in this
assessment, it
immediately went to
answer feedback
● A submit answer
button was added,
especially since this
was a multiple select
type question
