• WATER SUPPLY
• Satara has three main sources of water – Kas Dam, and the rivers
Urmodi and Krishna – with negligible dependency on groundwater
source household level water supply connections at 95 per cent.
• The per capita availability of water is 119 lpcd at the consumers. In
kamani haud area the water supply is through municipal water supply
connection .
• Satara City receives water supply from Kaas Tank, Mahadare
Tank, and Krishna schemes.

Muncipal drainage system
• The municipality has organized waste-water disposal through
underground gutters at some places, while there are open gutters at
some other places.
• At kamani haud there are underground gutters at some areas and
some open gutters at some areas the waste water is collected at one
point and then it passes to one main waste water line .
Street lights
• The street lights of municipal co-operation are provided at the road
side .

• Parks and play ground –

• There is one small park in that area and sitting areas are provided at
chowk .
Electricity
• The electricity supply is through MSEB there is electricity comes from
transformer and then distributed to houses.
PROBLEMS AND ISSUES
• AT KAMANI HOUD AREA THERE IS AMJOR PROBLEM OF TRAFFIC .
THIS PROBLEM IS CREATE DUE TO THE ROAD WIDTH OF RAJPATH
ROAD IS LESS.
• ALSO THERE IS MAJOR PROBLEM OF PARKING DUE TO LACK OF SPACE
FOR PARKING IN THAT AREA THERE IS ONLY ONE MUNCIPAL PARKING
IS PROVIDED. ALL THE VECHILES ARE PARKED AT ROAD SIDE AN DIT
CREATES A HEAVY TRAFFIC CONGESTION .
• ACCORDING TO OUR ANALYSIS AT MORNING , EVENING AND AT
NIGHT THERE ARE 100 VECHILES PASS AWAY IN 1 MIN FORM THAT
ROAD.
• SO FOR THAT PROBLEM WE DESIGN A PARKING FOR THAT AREA .
• THERE IS A TEMPLE WHICH IS NEAR TO KAMANI HOUD AT THAT ARE
WE CAN DESIGN A SITTING ARE OR SOME RECRETIONAL AREA .
