Provision of Bus section in present

scheme of 33KV Bay extension work in

form of indoor GIS Bay
 Introduction
• Construction of 33KV line bays in form of indoor GIS system
were carried out in 11 Grids under Transmission Circle, Patna
against ICB No. 30/Package J-1/ BSPTCL/ADB/2016.
• General Arrangement and schematic drawing of Bus section
has already been approved for construction of 33KV Line bays
using indoor GIS system.
• However, provision of Bus section was not considered due to
paucity of loan amount under ADB loan scheme.
• Later, it has been felt necessary to provide Bus section in
order to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
 Technical requirement of Bus
sectionalizer
• Without bus section, in case of failure/ or maintenance
work of any of the incoming feeder all outgoing feeder of
that section will be out of order.
• If bus section is provided in system it will improve power
availability and stability in the system as power can be
extended from any one of the incomer.
• Also, any maintenance work on one incomer can be
easily carried out without interrupting power supply to
other outgoing feeder.
 Space availability for installation of Bus
section :-
• During construction of 33KV line bays in form of GIS
System, required space for installation of Bus section
panel have already been considered.
• As such there is space available at all the Grids having
33KV line bays in form of GIS system.
• 33KV Line Bays in form of indoor GIS system have been taken up only
in 11 Grids under Patna(East) and Patna(West) circle. List of such
Grids are as below:-

• Provision of supply of bus section may only be considered in only
these Grids.
 Estimated Cost
• As per the budgetary offer obtained from M/s Schneider, Transmission Zone,
Patna has submitted estimate amounting to Rs. 7,28,84,002 (Rs. Seven Crore
Twenty Eight Lacs Eighty Four Thousand and two) including GST.
