Reasons for Heart Attack

Aging process (Generally after
40 years)

Cholesterol Rich food intake.

Lack of Exercise.

Other factors like Smoking,
Drinking, Diabetic etc., hasten
up this process.

Symptoms of Heart Attack


Pain or numbness of the left arm.

Shoulder pain.

Unbearable pain in the left chest
region radiating to the left hand.

Interrupted breathings.

Sweating on the left side.

Burning sensation in the stomach,
Nausea.

Victims

Talk soothingly & encouragingly.

Tell them that it may be due to something
he ate and say it may be gastric pain.

Don't make them lie down, take them in
sitting posture.

Don't give water. If conscious just wet the
tongue.

If the person is already a heart patient,
they may be having the tablets with them.

Handling the Heart Attack
Victims

Find out and keep it under the
tongue.

If unconscious, force open the mouth
and keep the tablet under the tongue.

Feel the pulse at the left neck or wrist
or put the ear to the heart and also
check breathing.

If both are absent, try give CPR till
they become conscious or until they
reach a hospital.
