BEING A CHRISTIAN IN THE EARLY CENTURIES


I. LITURGY AND PRAYER

In the East, Christians used the room high up under the roof, which
was quietest and most tucked away.
In the West the meeting place was probably the dining room. The
bathroom or piscina was used for baptisms.
‘Baptistry’ denoted a pool and’ baptism’ immersion.
