Emerging Technology are technologies whose development, practical applications, or both are still largely unrealized, such that they are figuratively emerging into prominence from a background of nonexistence or obscurity. These technologies are new, such as various applications of biotechnology including gene therapy (which date to circa 1990 but even today have large undeveloped potential). Emerging technologies are often perceived as capable of changing the status quo. Emerging technologies are those technical innovations which represent progressive developments within a field for competitive advantage. This represent previously distinct fields which are in some way moving towards stronger inter-connection and similar goals. Emerging Technologies ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) -The branch of computer science focused with making computers work and act like humans. ROBOTICS -The field of computer science and engineering concerned with creating devices that can move and react to sensory input. It is a form of artificial intelligence. BIOMETRICS -In ICT, biometrics is the technology used to measure and analyze human body characteristics such as DNA, fingerprints, eye retinas and irises, voice patterns, facial patterns, and hand measurements, mainly for authentication purposes. QUANTUM CRYTOGRAPHY -The science of encoding and decoding information of messages which depends on physics, not mathematics. It is used for information privacy and security. COMPUTER-ASSISTED TRANSLATION (CAT)
-The use of computers to assist in the translation of one or
more natural languages into another or others, and vice versa. Members
