Indian contemporary –
Outside of painting, the 1980s were
marked by the growth of fashion
schools in India, increased involvement
of women in the fashion industry, and a
widespread modification to Indian
clothing as Indian and Western styles
began to fuse.

WHEN CONTEMPORARY
INDIAN FASHION AND ART
COLLIDE -
The art of fashion has evolved over
decades to include new styles, skills
and techniques that are comparable
to anything that you would define as
pure ‘art’.
One such designer pair is
Riddhi and Revika. The young
Indian fashion designers play
with the beauty and depth of
flora to create rich and
elegant outfits that are made
for the women of today
The flowers work a
subtle charm on the
pastel dresses, giving
you a feminine look
that you would love to
sport, day after day.

Anita’s main styling directions were
the 1950’s look, with knee and calf
length pencil skirts, dresses – some
pleated and gathered shapes for
long feminine gowns with contrast
bodices. Quilting played an
important role and appeared for the
jackets, hemlines and bodices of the
dresses and gowns.
