leading manufacturer of textiles and filament yarn,
is the flagship company of Thapar Group. With
operations in two distinct businesses – cotton,
synthetic & blended textiles and nylon filament
yarn. Sel Manufacturing Private Limited is a market
driven company fueled by good work ethic, values
and a high standard of performance. It is this culture
that has helped establish the company’s reputation
as one of the finest in the country.

of the goals and operating practices of the enterprise
overall.

development. Training is a short-term process utilising
a systematic and organised procedure by which non-
managerial personal learn technical knowledge and
skills for a definite purpose. It refers to instruction in
technical and mechanical operations lie operation of
machines. It is designed primarily for non managers. it
is for short duration and for specific job related
purpose.
NEED OF THE STUDY
The need of the study was to reduce the gap that was identified
in the previous researches. Study found that training and
development is the main element of Sel Manufacturing Private
Limited. The facts which are missing in the previous studies are
operational aspect of depository and how the trading has
changed due to introduction of training and development. The
research gap which will be covered in the research is operational
aspect of training and development

The scope of the study was to limited to the employees of Sel Manufacturing
Private Limited, Nawanshahar only.

CONCLUSION
Majority of employees who respond to the questionnaire
that they are partially agree to spare time for attending the
training session as per schedule because sometimes the
employees whose training program has been scheduled,
the department cannot spare its employees at that time or
sometimes the employee is very busy for its routine work
as per training schedule but helps in increasing the job
knowledge and skills of employees at each level. It helps to
expand the horizons of human intellect and an overall
personality of the employees.
RECOMMENDATIONS
RECOMMENDATIONS
• The organization may utilize both subjective and
objective approach for the training programmes.
• The organization may consider deputing each
employee to attend at least one training programmes
each year.
• The In-house training programmes will be beneficial to
the organization as well as employees since it will help
employees to attend their official work while
undergoing the training.
• The organization can also arrange part time training
programmes in the office premises for short durations,
spanning over a few days, in order to avoid any
interruption in the routine work.
• The organization can arrange the training
programmes department wise in order to give
focused attention towards the departmental.
• The organisation has to make the programme
more effective to increase the job efficiency.
• The organisation has to increase the programme
as employees can develop their skills.
• survey should be taken time to time to have
knowledge about training programs efficiency.
