WHAT IS SOLAR ENERGY
 Solar energy is radiant light and heat from the
sun.
 Solar energy is a very inexhaustible source of

energy.
 The power from the sun intercepted by the

earth is approximatately 1.8 * 10^11 MW,

which is many thousands of time large than
the present consumption rate on the earth of
all commercial energy sources.

 A solar pond is a body of water that collects and stores
energy.
