– It’s not suprise that changing climate will have an impact on our overall health
– But one of the more shoking effects of warmer planet as outlined in a massive
new report from the us global change research program, an environment
research group comprised of goverment agencies such as NASA,EPA,and MOAA.
Is what it will do to our food
1 Food will go bad quiker

– The warmer of temperature, the happier the diseases-causing microbes apart

from norovirus, wich prefer cooler climates most foodborne illness-carrying
bugs love warmertemperatures the bacteria E.Coli salmonela and
campylobacter in particular are most likely to thrive in warmer temperature
particulary on friuts , vegetable, and seafood .
– Microbes overall will love warmer temperature which could lead to foods
spoiling quiker , and fungal toxins could get move around much farther
wreaking have on a wide range of crops like corn.
Many of our staple crops could
get less nutritious
– Hotter temperatures mean there’s more co2 in atmosphere. And that could
have a huge impact on the nutrition present in the food we eat for example the
report citys , protein will descreas as co2 level in creases . Beyond protein
essential elements such as iron, zinc , calsium , magnesium phosphorus and
nitrogen will decreas as co2 goes up according to the report
Our fish will be higher in potentialy
harmfull substance like mercury

– One other ways we get mercury in our bodies is from fish which pickup and
organic kind of mercury called methylmercury as the report notes fish in
warmer temperature have an easier tme absorbing this mercury poisoning at
high enough level can cause serious symtoms such as impaired vision, hearing ,
speech , and musle weakness
We wont be able to rely on
stable sources of food
– While not supprising extreme weather that exacerbated by climate change an
have a huge impact on food to much water-or not enough of it- can serverely cut
down on crops , plus , the report mentions transport of food could be seriously
limited during extreme weather
– For example in cases of extreme weather that effect waterways ,grains (wheat
,corn etc) which are mostly shipped by water could experiences difficultes in
instances of extreme drought , apart from the damage to the crops these
waterways also become inaccassible
– And if food can’t get from place to place there’s a bigger chance it will go bad in
higher temperatures especialy if power boutages are involved
