Introduction
 Concrete is versatile construction material.
 Concrete is mainly composed of Portland cement,
Aggregate(Filler), Water and chemical Admistures.
Concrete = Filler + Binder
 The name concrete comes from the Lating word
“Concretur” (meaning compact or condesed).
 Concrete solidifies and hardens after mixing with water
and placement due to a chemical process known as
hydration.
 The water reacts with the cement, which bonds the other
components together, eventually creating stone-like
material.
