Buck-Boost Converter

• The objective of this experiment is to use OrCAD PSpice to analyze the
characteristics of a buck-boost converter that are difficult to observe
with the hardware set-up, and to compare the theoretical predictions
of a buck-boost converter’s behavior with simulated results. In
addition, the average model of the buck-boost converter will be
analyzed using PSpice. This activity was derived from the power
electronics laboratory experiments developed and distributed by the
University of Minnesota (UMN). Additional material used in this lab
description was developed by Northern Arizona University (NAU).
