The cuckoo clock strikes six,
and Nana springs into life. The
first moment in the play is....so
every evening at six;
naturalness must be her
passion; indeed, it should be the
aim for everyone in the
play....Nana , making much use
of her mouth, "turns down" the
beds, and carries the various
articles on the fire-guards
across to them. Then, pushing
the bathroom door open, she is
seen at works on the taps
preparing Michael's bath; after
which she enters from the day
nursery with the youngest of
the family on her back.
A bird leaps out of a clock
A child filled with dread
It's 6 'o' clock
Time for bed
The nurse springs into life 
Naturalness is her passion, her drive 
She tidies the beds, hands out books to read
For stories and poems are what they need
To quieten their minds for what she believes to be
Another good night's sleep
Are you watching closely?

She prepares the boys bath
Turning the taps
