Expressing our

feelings and
emotions
In the previous activity, we read about the
importance of our differences for our identities.
Emotions and feelings are one essential aspect of
what we are. All of us perceive and feel things in a
different way and that’s completely fine!

However, it is also important to know different

ways of expressing our feelings in a healthy way.
Writing about our emotions is one of those ways.
That is why the objective of this class is to express
feelings in a short written text
Expressing
our feelings
What are some feelings and emotions
you remember from previous classes?
Could you think of many feelings and
emotions?
If you couldn’t, there is no problem! ☺ This may refresh
your memory: here’s a list of some emotions and

Probably, you won’t approach
to that person and just say
“SAD”. If you use the word
“SAD” without a context, it
may be a little bit confusing for
that person. That is why there
are some expressions that are
useful when we want to talk
about feelings.
Expressing Feelings and Emotions:
Talking about my feelings:
I feel (scared, happy, sad, etc.)
I am (scared, happy, sad, etc.)

Talking about others’ feelings

TO FEEL : She / He feels (scared, happy, sad, etc.)
They / we / you feel (happy, sad, scared, etc)

TO SEEM : She / He seems (scared, happy, sad, etc.)

They / we / you seem (happy, sad, scared, etc)

TO BE : She / He is (happy, sad, scared, etc)

They / we / you are (happy, sad, scared, etc)
