CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS OF

HIPERTENSION
• headache when awake, sometimes accompanied by nausea and vomiting,
due to increased intracranial blood pressure.
• Blurred vision due to damage to the retina
• Swing steps that are not steady because of damage to the central nervous
system
• Nocturia due to increased renal blood flow and glomerular filtration.
• Dependent edema and swelling due to increased capillary pressure
• Other symptoms that commonly occur in people with hypertension are
dizziness, redness, headaches, sudden blood output from the nose, the
neck feels sore and others.
COMPLICATIONS OF HIPERTENSION
• Heart
• Brain
• Encephalopathy Hypertension
• Brain Circulatory Disorders
• Eye
• Kidney
• Peripheral blood vessels
Classic symptoms and signs DVT

• Classic symptoms and signs:

• 1. Pain in the legs or calves when it occurs in the legs and arms or
neck when it comes to upper extremities.
• 2. Swelling is localized to the affected area accompanied by pitting
edema. For TVD distal swelling to below the knee and TVD proximal
to the buttocks area.
• 3. Tactile warm and reddish skin around the TVD area, especially in
the back and knees, there is superficial vein dilation and cyanosis in
severe skin obstruction.
• 4. Sometimes TVD does not provide real symptoms, symptoms arise
after complications such as emboli occur in the lungs.
LUNG EMBOLY COMPLICATIONS
• Thrombus which is released into embolus will follow the blood flow to
the heart and will be flowed to the branches of the arteries in the
lungs so that it will inhibit blood flow. Patients with EP often complain
of sudden tightness accompanied by hemoptysis or chest pain or
chest pain and sudden collapse with shock and even sudden death.
Approximately 10% of untreated TVD sufferers develop pulmonary
embolism which causes severe symptoms or death
Prognosis of Deep Vein Thrombosis
(DVT)
• The majority of deep vein thrombosis will disappear without any
complications, however there is a significant risk for recurrence.
Pulmonary embolus is uncommon when deep vein thrombosis are
treated properly but they can occur and can be life threatening.
