Scrum Team
• The SCRUM team consists of 2 groups: the interested team
– stakeholders who will not be doing the actual work, and
the working team.

• Team typically has no more than 6-9 working members,

although SCRUM has been successfully used with more
members.

• Scrum team's leader is called Scrum Master. He is one of

the working team members. Scrum Master measures
progress, removes impediments, and leads the team
meetings.
SCRUM Life Cycle
Scrum Backlogs

• Product Backlog - A prioritized list of all

desired changes of the product being
developed, put together by the product
owner.

• Sprint Backlog - A list of items that is

planned to be completed in the current
sprint, taken from the product backlog.
Sprint - 1

• Sprint cycle is an iterative cycle of about 3-

4 weeks, in which the actual development
of the product is done.
• The sprint is repeated until the product's
development is complete. The product is
complete when the variables of time,
quality, competition, and cost are at a
balance.
Sprint - 2
• Sprint starts out with a Sprint Planning
Meeting or Sprint Launch to decide what
will be done in the current sprint.
• A sprint is closed with a Sprint Review
Meeting or Postmortem where the
progress made in the last sprint is
demonstrated, the sprint is reviewed, and
adjustments are made to the project as
necessary.
Sprint Launch
• Sprint launch is a two-phase meeting
organized by the Scrum Master
• The customers, management, product
owner and scrum team participate in the
first phase of the meeting to decide upon
the goals and the functionality of the next
sprint.
• The second phase of the meeting is held
by the Scrum Master and the Scrum Team
focusing on how the product increment is
implemented during the Sprint.
Postmortem
• On the last day of the Sprint the Scrum
Master and the Scrum Team present the
results (i.e. working product increment) of
the Sprint to stakeholders.
• Team predictability, productivity and
quality metrics are reviewed.
• Positive and Negative aspects of the
Sprint is discussed.
• The list of action items from previous
postmortem is reviewed.
Daily Scrum Meeting
1. What have you accomplished since the last meeting?

2. Are there any obstacles in the way of meeting your

goal?

3. What will you accomplish before the next meeting?

15-minute SCRUM meeting is held every day. The

SCRUM Master asks three questions, all members of
the team and interested parties take part and give
feedback. The meeting should be held in the same
place at the same time, so that people know where to
go.
