What is Urban Equalities?

 The terms “equality,” “equal,” and “equally” signify a qualitative relationship.


 Urban equality is a multi-dimensional experience for urban dwellers. Urban
equality is a cross-cutting condition that manifests in relation to different
wellbeing aspirations. 
 In may view, equality is very-very important for livelihood of any individual
because then only he can give back to his or her society according to the
capability as he is getting equal treatment and so the equal opportunity to do
what he can.
 urban equality as encompassing urban citizens’ access to income and
services; recognition of their diverse social identities in policy and planning
initiatives in their cities; and inclusion in political decisions that affect their
lives.
 Urban equality requires policy and planning which actively engages all actors
in the city and which explicitly addresses differential power relations on the
basis of class, gender, ethnicity, age, race, caste, sexual orientation and
differential abilities.
