Digital Image Copyright Law: In order to use an image, “you must receive
authorization from the creator”. (1)

Digital Image Fair Use: If an image is used, authorization from the creator does not
need to be received if:

“Four factors must be considered when determining if your purpose is fair use:
1. Purpose & Character of the Work
2. Nature of the Work
3. Amount Used
4. Effect on the Market” (2)
When using an image, part of the
image can be legally used without
infringing upon copyright.
