What should you check?

• Blood Pressure
• Heart Rate
• Respirations
• Temperature
• Pain Rating
• Oxygen Saturation
What should you do?
• Introduce your self
• Tell your purpose (I would like to check your vital sign, is it
okay for you?)
• When asking the pain level: What is your pain level? From
zero to ten, zero means no pain.
• Where is your pain located at? And please can you
describe it for me?
• The next thing that I’m going to do is checking your blood
pressure
• Say thankyou and you will come back to check in the next
few hours
How to read the blood pressure?

• 120/80 can be said one hundred twenty over eighty


• 104/78 also can be said one o four over seventy
eight
• mmHg can be said millimeter mercury
• So, 120/80 mmHg can be read one hundred twenty
over eighty millimeter mercury
