Physical examination: Evaluation:
- Thyroglossal duct cysts - FNAB
typically present as mobile - USG thyroid
midline neck masses near the - CT Scan / MRI
hyoid bone or an abscess or
intermittently draining sinus.
- The mass will elevate with
tongue protrusion or
swallowing. Treatment /
- The mass is closely associated Management:
with the hyoid bone. - Simple excision
- Most commonly found at or - Sistrunk operation
below the level of hyoid.
