Scheduling Timeline for 2020-2021
April 2020
• April 22nd through May 1st– Students will be responsible for inputting
their Course Request on your Powerschool page. If for some reason, you
are not able to access the request page through Powerschool, ask your
School Counselor for access to the Google Form for your grade.

• May 1st – Deadline to submit Course Request

May - June 2020

• Counselors will review all requests and answer any questions or address
any conflicts as forms are received.

June 2020 GOAL:

Students will receive a tentative schedule for the 2020-2021 school year
 How to Input Course Request
● Log into Powerschool
● Go to the Class Registration Page
● Click the Pencil
● Choose your desired course(s) for that sections
● Select Okay
● Repeat for every required section and Press Submit
 Things to Keep in Mind!
• Be thoughtful when making your selections and mindful of
graduation requirements

• 29 CREDITS ARE REQUIRED FOR GRADUATION (see next slide)

• Use the Course Grid attached to get an idea of the course

sequencing by grade

• Fill out a planning card to map your future courses for 9th grade
through 12th grade ((see attached)

• Talk your choices over with your parents/gaurdians, teachers and

peers!

Facts About the Scheduling Process
• Counselors will always create schedules based on
current academic progress, but if you do not submit
your request your choices will not be known.
• Courses that require teacher recommendations will
not be added unless the teacher has signed off on
the course.
– So reach out to your current teacher in that
subject and find out where you stand.
– Or follow the roadmap on the request screen
• You can always email your counselor, if you have any
questions.
