 Biography

A biography is a true story about someone’s
life.
Tell about famous people or ordinary
people.
It is nonfiction. It gives facts about important
things.
To write a biography you need to know well
the person you are writing about.
 Autobiography

Autobiography is a person’s OWN
account of their life, written by him
or her.
 Structure

Early life
Childhood
Adulthood
Hometown/country
Path to fame (if applicable)
Current life
Later life (if is not longer live)
Your feelings about the person
 How to write a biography?

 Usually you have 3 or more paragraphs, depending
on the details you want to include.
 The first paragraph is for INTRODUCTION. Here
you have to tell the reader who are you writing about.
 The following paragraphs are DETAILS/FACTS.
Here you include everything about the person’s life.
 The last paragraph is for CONCLUSION. Here you
close with your thoughts and feelings about that
person and what he or she did or does for the world.

 On March 21st 2019, I was born into a loving family. I
live in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic with my
parents and my two brothers. My father is an
insurance agent and my mother is a teacher. I have
had a happy and excited life. I have never gone to
school because I am too young but I will go soon. I
