DEFINE OF INFRARED

William Herschel had just discovered the portion of the

electromagnetic spectrum known as “infrared.”

1. A band of the electromagnetic spectrum between the

visible and the microwave.

2. Refers to electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths

greater than those of visible light and shorter than those
of microwaves .
INTRODUCTION

 Infrared remote controls are using a 32-56

kHz modulated square wave for
communication.
 Our project circuits are used to transmit a 1-4
kHz digital signal through Infra light.
 It is being turned ON/OFF with the
modulating signal.

CONCLUSION

 we can operate any of the appliances in our, office

or any institution using IR remote control.

 With remote we can control devices up to 4 meters

away.

 our objective of infrared communication between

two devices via asynchronous serial
communication.
