DISCUSSION
1. My strong belief is that to help those having middle
managers’ roles to improve their management skills, and
those aspiring to these posts to develop these skills and
become effective much more quickly when promoted, it is
good practice to ask them what help is needed.( Depends
on Author)
2. The teachers start my management courses by
discussing in sub-groups of three or four what they want
to achieve during the course.
3. The whole course consists of about 16 teachers who have
been appointed or are seeking appointment to middle
management posts.
4. To this group each subgroup now makes a presentation of
their objectives. Their presentation may take many
different forms and the following examples from recent
courses (Figures 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5) show the wide
range of training needs identified.
