ground, usually has leaves or
flowers,
and needs sun and water to
survive.
Parts of Plants

1. Roots
• It hold the body
of the plant.

• They absorb water and


minerals from the soil.
Main Parts of the Roots

a. Primary Roots
The first root to come out of the
seed.
b. Secondary Roots
The small roots that branch out
rom the main root.
c. Root Hairs
The tiny roots that grow from the
secondary roots.

These are thread-like and spread
hrough the soil.
