المركزي (الفدرال ي) لضب ط عرض النقود وس عر الفائدة ومعرفة أي م ن هذه االدوات له
فاعلية كبيرة.
• ماذا يحصل للكمية المطلوبة من االحتياطيات البنكية ،مع بقاء العوامل االخرى ثابتة ،اذا
تغير سعر الفائدة الفدرالي Federal Fund Rate؟
• يركز البنك الفدرالي هذه االيام على ما يسمى "سعر الفائدة الفدرالي" Federal fund
( rateوهو سعر الفائدة على االحتياطيات المقترضة لليلة واحدة من بنك الى آخر) كأداة
رئيسية للسياسة النقدية .سوف نبدأ بالعرض والطلب على االحتياطيات للبنوك التجارية
لتحليل الكيفية التي تؤثر بها ادوات السياسة النقدية على سعر الفائدة الفدرالي.

• What happens to the quantity of reserves
demanded by banks, holding everything else
constant, as the federal funds rate changes?

• The amount of reserves can be split up into two
components:
1. Required reserves
2. Excess reserves
The quantity of reserves demanded by
banks equals required reserves plus excess
reserves demanded.

كان التوازن االصلي عند النقطة ( )1في الجزء المسطح من منحنى الطلب
على االحتياطيات ( انظر ) ،)Figure 5 (bان رفع سعر الفائدة قد رفع
منحنى الطلب على االحتياطيات من R1dالى ،R2dوانتقل التوازن الى
النقطة ( ،)2حيث ارتفع سعر الفائدة الفدرالي من ( )iff1الى ( )iff2حيث
تساوى ( )2iorمع ( )iff2عند التوازن الجديد ( انظر ).)Figure 5 (b

مع سعر الفائدة ( )iorالمدفوع على االحتياطي .وال يهم مقدار االنخفاض
في منحنى الطلب ،فان س عر الفائدة الفدرالي ( )iffالتوازني سوف يبقى
عند ( ،)iorوهو سعر الفائدة المدفوع على االحتياطات البنكية ،وذلك ألن
االحتياطيات الفائض ة س وف تس تمر ف ي االنخفاض حت ى تكون الكمي ة
